Trek rider Tracy Moseley crashed during qualifying then crashed again on her race run putting her out of the running in 9th. A puncture in her qualifying run meant Florianne Pugin took the hot seat early on with a 3:43.33.
Second fastest qualifier Sabrina Jonnier said she was disappointed with her run and expected her time of 3:39.59 to be easily beaten by last women down, Emmeline Ragot.
But it was not to be for Emmeline and collected her 4th second spot this year and Sabrina took her fourth win on the trot. Mio Suemasa from Japan gate crashed the party and put a stop to another all French top 5.
