Val di Sole was on the World Cup calendar last year and Gee won there by just over a second. That was Atherton time, two back to back wins for the siblings saw Gee and Rach at the top of their game.
With Val di Sole and Schladming out of the UCI calendar in 2014 the IXS cup guys have snapped up the locations for their series. Kiwi rider Bryn Dickerson takes us on a run down the track in Italy that has had a few tweaks from last year. In true Kiwi style there are more ‘whoop’ and ‘yeah boy’ shouts than any course check we have seen before!
The top section has been extended and there are some flat turns before arriving at the original start and dropping into this bonkers steep track. A few other sections divert from the original line and the odd north shore section has been added too. The track seems to flow pretty well from the video and no doubt will make for some great racing tomorrow.
