Gracia Wins Chile Urban Dh

This weekend saw the annual urban street race in Valparariso, Chile.

Photo-jock Fraser Britton was there to mop up the action.

This year it was Frenchman Cedric Gracia taking home the win in front of thousands of adoring fans who once again stripped him of all but his boxer shorts and helmet as he celebrated his win.
Pedro Fereira of Chile took second and Canadian young gun Steve Smith took home 3rd place for the second year in a row.

For the women it was Micayla Gatto of Canada who took the top step of the podium, and local Veronica Miranda who took second place.

Winner Cedric Gracia (France) hits the large stepdown jump that had
more than one rider nervous about this week.

Steve Smith (Canada) aboard his Shiny New Evil Revolt trains it up
with Cedric Gracia in the upper Lyon Staircase section.

Micayla Gatto (Canada) plays Where’s Waldo amidst the fans during a
last minute practice run.

Lucas Bolcato (Chile) hits one of this year’s new features, a wooden
wallride (or a really big berm) mid course.

Words and Photos: Fraser Britton.
