Florent Payet and Eleonora Farina crowned European downhill champions

Florent Payet and Elearnora Farina were crowned European Champions this weekend in Sestola.

The European Championships don’t always attract the top names in the sport but the winner still get rewarded with a national sleeve and plenty of bragging rights.

Payet flew down the course in 2:32.022, to take the win from Poland’s Slawomir Lukasik and Italy’s Loris Revell. It was a super tight race with the top five separated by only a second Highest placed Brit was Harry Molloy who finished 15th just 4 seconds back.

In the women’s race, Italians dominated as Eleonora Farina stepped up to take the win from Alia Marcellini and Marine Cabirou.
