Aaron Gwin put down a storming run to finish on top in qualifying today in Mont Sainte Anne.
It wasn’t a perfect run for the American champ as he lost time in the first sector but his 4:02.974 put him a good 1.5 seconds ahead of the competition – the largest time gap in the entire field.
Second place went to Loic Bruni who finished on top yesterday in timed training. Minnaar was hot on his heels in third, this gives Minnaar some more valuable points in his defence of the overall, especially as there was clear daylight on the results sheet between him and Brosnan (7th) – he now sits 172 points clear.
Fourth went to Danny Hart with Luca Shaw rounding things off in fifth.
