Video: Yeti WC#2 FT WILLIAM

Jared Graves dominated the Fort William 4x and Aaron Gwin took a fourth in the downhill, not a bad weekend for Yeti Cycles.

Here’s the video banger from lens man John Reynolds.

Graves wins again, Gwinny fourth in DH

Jared Graves continued his quest for the overall World Cup title, winning his second World Cup race of the season. Jared dominated the race, winning the qualifying round by nearly a second and then winning every heat on his way to a win in the finals. Aaron Gwin, after posting a fourth place in qualifying, followed up with a solid fourth place in the finals. Gwinny was up .55 seconds at the split on winner Gee Atherton, but was unable to match Gee’s speed on the lower part of the track and finished just two seconds off the top spot. His strong finish has everyone waiting for the inevitable — Gwinny winning his first WC downhill…

The course at Fort William is always a favorite with the riders and fans. The upper section is fast, rough and loaded with challenging sections, while the lower section is a mix of roots, flowy lines, and a tough pedaling section that ends in a series of jumps that drops riders into the grand stands where hundreds of fans cheer the racers as they cross the line. If you haven’t been to Fort William, put it on the list, you won’t be disappointed.
After this weekend’s excitement, Jared sits first in the WC standings for 4x and Gwinny is fourth in DH. Both riders are feeling at the top of their game as they head into Leogang, Austria, June 19th for the next round of WC action.
