Santa Cruz’s new Heckler looks like it could be one hell of a bike. It shares many similarities to the superb Bronson, i.e. the same great geometry, 27.5″ wheels, and 150mm of travel, but instead of using a VPP suspension design the Heckler uses a simple but effective single pivot design, which helps to keep the cost down. So yeah it might be cheaper, but as we all know a well designed single pivot bike can work just as well, if not better, than any more complex design. We can’t wait to get hold of one to test out, but in the mean time here’s a great video of Santa Cruz test riders Craig Wilson and Jason Tarbet putting the new Heckler through its paces in Whistler…
