Bloody brilliant result for Mike Jones taking the junior win in Hafjell, fellow Brit Innes Graham took second with the top five being filled with Mark Wallace, Noel Niederberger and Loris Vergier. He may have only managed 16th through the speed trap but Jones put down a run that counted to give him top spot in Norway. After qualifying the UK riders were up there Jones, Graham and Atwill were all in the top 5. Crashing out in practice Phil Atwill missed the race with a broken collarbone.
