Bit of wild one for the American giants in Hafjell. With Aaron Gwin out after a 3rd degree AC separation in South Africa team mates Troy Brosnan and Mitch Ropelato were flying the flag for Specialized Racing in Norway. 6th in Qualifying for Troy showed he was in shape for a good result but a 45th from Mitch left him with plenty more gas in the tank for finals.
With viking rain thundering down the course changed completely, as Troy described “a river running down the track but still with plenty of grip”. He landed a 10th place, happy but not satisfied he’s got a lot more to give. Mitch came down in 19th, still with plenty to give both these guys we know will be pinned next season and grace the podium steps some more.
