More Mountain Biking Videos

So I’m finally back out on the bike, with a mix of full time work, weekly physio and learning to ride one handed is pretty difficult… o and getting out and doing the Eyesdown Films with Alex keeps me busy. It’s not a bad way to live, still fully involved in the mountain bike industry and enjoying it.

Life is hard at times but I knew that was going to be the case when the doc told me I have a very slim chance of getting use of my right arm back. One thing I’ve learnt over the past 9 months is everything is still doable, I’ve modified my mountain bike and road bike so I can access all the controls and being the secret geek that I am I have also purchased a modified Xbox controller from a guy in the states called Ben Heck, it feels so good to be able to virtually scrub!

Patience is key, everything takes that little bit longer but I’m learning little techniques to get things done every day, I even had chance to do a bit of service work at Mojo before Christmas, which was really nice. I have a busy year planned ahead travelling to the European World Cups as well as all of the British Downhill races filming which should keep me amused and I get to see what it’s like as a spectator for the first time in my life.

As you can see in the video the stuff I’m riding isn’t massively technical but it’s where I spent a lot of my time as youngster, I remember a good friend of mine Paul Jones telling me ‘You can never practise cornering too much!’, so it’s back to bike school for me and hitting plenty of turns.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Mojo Suspension for supporting me and setting my bike up so well, I seriously wouldn’t have half the things I do if it wasn’t for they’re kindness and generosity.

Alex and I plan on getting out in the next couple of months to bring some more riding footage and give you a little insight in to how my life has changed .

Always look forward, never look back.
