The Guts Behind The Glory – Loris Vergier

At just 17, Loris Vergier is looking to make his mark in downhill racing.

This year saw the introduction of a separate Junior category at the Downhill World Cups. With the aim of bringing on new talent it gives the youngsters of the sport a chance to shine in their own light rather than being slotted inconspicuously somewhere in the final results of the Elite category.

Stylish on the bike and with a fun attitude, France’s 17-year-old Loris Vergier has grown up under the tuition of his cross-country racing father and rather fast team-mate Loic Bruni.

In this episode of The Guts Behind the Glory, Loris talks about his first impressions of World Cup racing, what the challenges are and the joys it brings, like the opportunity to travel. As you’ll be able to see, if his riding and results so far are anything to go by he will be certainly one to watch in the future.
