Sam and Loic post race
The Lapierre team seem to have it nailed, chilled riders with some amazing talent and a solid team vibe. Everyone has fun but when it comes to racing they all know what’s what. They finished off the season with some great results and the top team prize in Austria. Aaron Bartlett has been with them all year to capture the racing.
Emmeline Ragot took the win ahead of World Champion Rachel Atherton giving her 2nd spot in the overall. Sam Blenkinsop said he made a few mistake in his run but still came down in a decent 7th position which was enough for 5th in the overall.
Loris Vergier took the Junior Men’s overall after landing second place in Leogang. He has been strong all season and his youth definitely helped after bouncing on his head last week in Hafjell.
The pinner of the day badge has to go to Loic Bruni, coming down second half a second up on power house Mick Hannah and just 1.3 back from Steve Smith. That put Bruni ahead of Blenkinsop in the overall, 4th place for the 19 year old Frenchman, expect big things from him next year.
The team are working on an edit covering the whole season so expect something pretty epic dropping from them soon, Aaron has gone into editing hibernation so hopefully we will see it soon.
