Tahnee Seagrave picks up Red Bull sponsorship

Will it give her the wings to rise above Rachel?

Tahnee Seagrave has kicked off 2017 by announcing her Red Bull sponsorship.

21-year-old Seagrave is about to enter her fourth season as an Elite and will no doubt be looking to cap off her meteoric rise by finally grabbing a World Cup win. She finished third in last year’s overall but would no doubt have challenged Manon Carpenter for second had she not suffered an elbow injury that forced her to pull out of Fort William.

She looked like the woman most likely to beat Rachel Atherton for most of the season and got within 0.7 seconds at Lenzerheide.

Tahnee is now the third woman in the women’s field to pick up sponsorship from Red Bull (along with Rachel Atherton and Myriam Nicole). That’s more than half the number women they normally show on the live feed, let’s hope this spurns them to give women a bit more coverage in future.
