After a 9 hour journey to Fort William the Dirt van limped into the Crauchan Hotel, where Victor and myself immediately administered ice packs to our bleeding ears, we had survived a full on life story from Big Mike the Editor about his giddy care free days as a lad in Shropshire, it was riveting.

We’ve had a quick snoop round and popped into the Lime Tree to check out the SNAP photo exhibition, where we bumped into Peaty who seemed to be walking okay on his injured foot.

The Fort seems pretty busy already and there are loads of Russians around most of whom are staying at our hotel. The Worlds village is busy too with all the teams, pit crew and trade stands already set up. The media tent is huge, there is no sign of a beam to climb over but i’m sure we can come up with something.

I could stay here all day, free tea, coffee and biscuits yippee

We’re just setting up the Dirt stand at the mo, we’re right next to a big black double decker bus on the main drag, so pop along for a cuppa and a chat
