Mondrakers Stolen

Thieving scum bags have been at it again, this time stealing two bikes belonging to Mr Mojo, Chris Porter.

Both bikes are quite easily identifiable and Chris is offering a substantial award. So keep them peeled.

Here’s what Chris says:

We had a break in at home last Thursday (21st July) where the thieves made away with two very distinctive mountain bikes, some riding kit and a trials motorcycle.

Chris’s large Mondraker Xenith in black and Susie’s medium Mondraker Foxxy in Green.

Xenith:

The frame is running -2 degree angle cups in the wrong colour from a Dune (gold/brown anodised cups, the rest of the anodised parts on the Xenith are red) and has an extra cable guide drilled into the down tube, Mojo red and white graphics on the left hand side of the frame.

Cables all routed down by lower linkage and up the seat tube, cable guides under the downtube all removed, the Maxle lite is cut short at the threaded end, hacksaw marks visible.

The shock is a one-off. It’s a 2012 shock with Kashima body and air sleeve and the Kashima logo embossed.

The decal says RP23 but the shock has been converted to an RP2 Remote with the cable actuator on the left hand of the bar.

The brakes are Hope specials with M4 calipers and Race V2 levers in black with ‘team green’ anodising. The front wheel is a 20mm axle CrossMax SLR not normally available to the public, the rear is a CrossMax SX, Maxxis LUST Crossmarks x 2.25 on both.

The front fork is a 2012 36 RLC chassis with a one-off RC2 cartridge installed. The QR levers on the axle have been replaced with black aluminium bolts.

Renthal 780×38 bars, Race Face Lock-on grips, Hope 15 degree x 50mm stem, Joplin seatpost with remote on left hand of bar.

Crank Brothers Mallet 2 pedals in silver, XTR 1×10 transmission with a black E13 light guide and Renthal 34T chainring, 11-36T rear cassette.

The chain has derailed in the past and chewed the right hand crank really badly around the outer chainring bolts.

Foxxy:

Frame in green with gold anodisied parts, 2011 FLOAT 150RLC QR15 and a 2011 RP23. Hope Race V2 brakes with 160 floating rotors. Renthal 780×38 bar cut to approx 720mm with Renthal Kevlar BMX grips, Renthal Duo stem and a Blackburn wireless bike computer on the bar.

Crank Brothers Cobalt wheels in Black with Gold hubs and mismatched Shimano rear skewer, Kenda tubless tyres. 2009 9spd XTR triple chainset, Shimano DX flats with long pins in the corners. Hope Eternity seatpost with Women’s SDG saddle. A grey silicon Knog lock wrapped around the bar and stem.

They also took a Fox V3 moto helmet in order to ride off with the trials bike, a Beta REV4T with a Fox air shock in the rear, reg’d CU08HNX.

The helmet was a black, red and white ‘riot’ style deign from a couple of years ago with Mojo and ISO2 decals over a broken peak and a weird looking post made of a Hope stem bolt holding the visor on the left (for night lights).

The helmet has a barcode from a hare and hounds race on the left chinguard (number 710 or 701?).

A pair of white Fox vortex goggles and white Fox bomber gloves went with the helmet. A white Mavic Creek waterproof jacket and a white EVOC CC16 backpack were taken also.

If anybody sees any of this stuff out on the trail or up for sale on a forum or on Ebay, Mojo will offer a substantial reward for the return of the mountain bikes which had a lot of one-off test special products on board.
