Minnaar on his way to gold.
Greg Minnaar pulled off his dream, back to back Worlds titles. Leogang and his home race in Pietermaritzburg could not be further apart geographically but Greg has sewn the stripes together and stamped his name in the history books.
Fellow Syndicate riders Steve Peat and Josh Bryceland both representing the UK had their bikes equally and pimped as their South African team mate. The Union Jack along side the Unity flag decals on the winning V10 made their bikes stand out.
After all the talk of bikes, wheels and the track, Greg proved his worth and that of a full on DH race bike. He took to the top step of the podium ahead of two Australian riders Mick Hannah and Jared Graves who shared the hot seat for most of the afternoon.
Hopefully we will see Greg for many years to come pinning runs like this all over the race scene.
