The guys over at Redhill are having an earthy make over and need your help.
This is what Morgan said:
Just a quick email to let you and the Dirt readers know that this weekend (20th-21st) we’re holding a dig weekend at Redhill. We’ll be working solely on the trails, with other dig days for the 4X and mountainboard/pump tracks happening in the near future.
The aim is to get both of the old sets improved and ready to run, and to make a start on the new sets too. We’ll be there between 10:00am and 5:00 pm each day, so even if people can only help for a couple of hours it will be appreciated. Although there are a few tools there already we suggest people bring their own shovels and spades, and an additional wheelbarrow or two wouldn’t go amiss.
Further details can be found on the Facebook event:

We’ve already started on the big line, replacing the old wooden kickers with real dirt, and lessening the gradient of the hill as much as possible so they flow better than before, as well as adding the beginnings of numerous hips and linking lines. I’ve attatched some obligatory camera phone snaps to illustrate the scale of the work being undertaken.
Redhill Extreme is aiming to re-open its gates to riders at Easter time, dependant on the weather conditions, and how quickly we can get everything tided up and running again.
Cheers
Morgan
