First there was Downhill, then came Mini-Downhill, then there was Apolis and we had Mini-Apolis then there was Enduro and sure as eggs are eggs we now have Mini-Eggs, no, I mean we have Mini Enduro.
The first ever One Industries Mini Enduro will take place on Sunday 10th February 2013 at Haldon Forest in Devon.
The one day race format is a winning formula in my book (on-sale soon) and for a lot of folk who can’t justify a whole weekend away riding bikes.
With the one day structure it’s easy, simply get up early, okay-quite early in some cases, drive to the event, race and come home. With or without a trophy but always with a smile.
Chris Roberts, organiser of the successful Mini Downhill series has applied that same template to the sport of Enduro. It can be as fun or as serious as you make it.
Three live timed stages (you will have instant results exactly the same has in the Mini downhill races), easy non-timed transitions, loads of categories. All three stage times will be added together and fastest cumulative total time will be used for the results.
Chris says: “Haldon has great and varied range of tracks the race will use the mostly off piste tracks and use the blue routes to link them all together and keep everyone going in the right direction. It’s got to be one of the easiest places to get to just 5 minutes past Exeter on the M5 by Exeter race course. It’ll be a great fun day out racing with your mates or like minded riders.”

12.30pm Racing starts – Fastest first
4.30pm Podiums – Top 3 in each category.
