“Relentless”
“No Half Measures” – No Clips BMX Racing

Yes, No Clips BMX was back in the UK for one night only at Bournemouth on
Sat 26th May on the eve of the National weekend.

The scene was set and the riders ready at the newly re-vamped Bournemouth
track.

To give the crowd a slicker show we went with a two moto qualifying system
into the next round and used the breaks to send the crowd wild with the
givaways which has become traditional at Uk No Clips races, we had loads of
goodies from all the sponsors and a frame set from Dialled Bikes which was
given away after the final.

The racing was hot and some of the top UK riders were looking good in the
motos with the likes of Laurence Mapp current UK No.1 Elite rider, Liam
Batey, Luke Gamble riding for Firm Bikes, young Gun Callum Strickland and
Alex Dick S&M who always turns it up a notch when the clips are put away on the
track.

Come final time Liam Batey got the snap with his signature roll back and
had it to the first turn with Laurence Mapp right in behind him, down the
2nd straight and into the berm Mapp went in underneath L Batey to take up
the lead with Alex Dick moving on into 3rd having a battle with Warren
Bankcroft out of turn 2, down the 3rd straight it was Mapp, Batey and Dick
smoothing the jumps, round the last tarmac turn and down the last straight
Mapp took it at the finish line with Batey in 2nd and Alex Dick 3rd.

It had been one of the best No Clips races ever, the atmosphere was great
and the racing top draw.
