The Pitch makes its entrance onto the scene and at £1099 is going to be one of THE BIKES of the year. Ten years ago it would have been one of the lightest and longest travel downhill bikes. Now at this much or not much money it looks set to be one that will provide wide ranging action with its 150mm travel, slack head angle, low bottom bracket and sub thirty pound weight. This bike HAS it, it really does.

Below is the new SX Trail colour scheme for the year. At 170mm the SX is a sublimely handling bike that is often overlooked yet in reality able to hold its own at most DH races. For the rider who needs something that is simply pure fun to ride with a snappy yet stable feel then there’s some grinning to be had here. Also at £1099 but frame only and coil shock.

Two bikes that can both be ridden hard. The SX is definitely one for the odd downhill and weekend workout, whereas for most people the Pitch is going to be that bike that’s does so many things, jumping, trail riding and generally hammering around.
