Yes you read that right, this unlucky chap had his bike stolen mid-ride thanks to a gun toting thief! Not much you can do about that I suppose. Still, although they also stole pretty much everything else he had like phone, car keys and Oakleys, it seems the thieves had never seen a GoPro before and so completely ignored the big thing on the riders head that was filming them throughout the entire ordeal. The word is that the guys have since been caught and the stolen property returned. Maybe wearing a GoPro on an XC ride isn’t so daft after all.
