Dirt Magazine Issue #149 out now

As with every shiny issue of the mag that you buy from Dennis at the corner shop or if you are smart gets delivered by Mr Postman it’s wedged with some top stories, race reports and all things radical from the world of the mountain bike.

This months cover star is Laurie Greenland and it’s his first! We put a photo of the new mag on the Instagrammer and Laurie sounded pretty happy about it…

no way @dirtmagazine!!! been dreaming of one of these since I was about 8! maximumly stoked haha, massive thanks to you all at Dirt!

 FORT WILLIAM WORLD CUP REPORT

We report from Fort William  on that historic win for Troy Brosnan too. Troy winning in Scotland set the young guns off, Bryceland then went on to win in Leogang and with Loic Bruni so close to a win before his crash this new breed is taking the World Cup scene by storm. Brosnan now leads the overall just ahead of team mate Aaron Gwin who seems to be finding his form again he might have suffered a blown tyre in Leogang but is clearly back up to speed.

INTENSE 951 EVO BIKE TEST

Steve recently built up this 951 EVO and has been out giving it a good thrashing in the woods. The bike has been specced with a mix of components but those that are there are on for a long time not just a good time. Steve also tried out the DVO Emerald forks on this bike and you can check those out in the mag too.

ENDURO WORLD SERIES, TWEEDLOVE

The Enduro World Series landed in Scotland for round 2 and we followed the action all weekend. In a race that surprised many people the podium was mixed up from it’s normal residents. The men’s race was won by Nico Lau, local trail knowledge was key here. Not knowing the stages but the ability to race on the rough and tight tracks rather than just surviving them. Tracy Moseley maintained her dominance and won all but one stage ahed of Anne-Caroline Chausson and Cecile Ravanel. If you missed any content from that event on the website then check it out here.

TREK SESSION 9.9

It might be another red downhill bike but the story behind this steed is an interesting one. Developed with the Trek World Racing Team the session has come a long way since it’s first incarnation. Now fully carbon with 27.5 wheels the mission was simply to make a bike that could go faster. We sat down with the designer in Fort William to discuss the bike and it’s development. The video from this feature will be online soon so you can check it out and get into the nitty gritty!

There’s plenty more crammed into the mag so what are you waiting for!? If you want to be smart and save yourself a few quid then head over here to buy yourself a subscription and get a free T-shirt in the process, TIDY!
