SC-Intense bolster their 2013 World Cup team with some fast, young Scottish talent. Lew Buchanan moves over from CRC and is joined by fellow Scot and 2012 Junior National Champ and ex-Zerode rider Joe Connell.

The team also includes two Swiss National Champions Miriam Ruchti and Lars Peyer and a promising young Junior, Joel Andrey.

Missing from the 2012 team are Florent Payet and Josh Button.

And are they all going to be riding 650b bikes? Ruchti and Peyer certainly are.

Also notable on the sponsor list is Turbo Spoke, the strap-on-instant-Moto-noise-exhaust-pipe-machine. Should be good for some extra speed.

Lewis Buchanan is ready for the fresh start:

Next year is my first elite season and I am looking forward to building on my previous WC experience and racing on some awesome tracks with Lewis, Miri, Lars and Joel. I can’t wait to get racing again!”

Back again will be the reigning National Champs Miriam Ruchti and Lars Peyer.

Miri will be out for the IXS overall win and a podium spot at the World Cups this coming season and Lars is setting his sights on IXS podiums and WC finals. Both are really looking forward to be on their new Pacenti / Schwalbe equipped 27.5 Intense M9s.

2013 marks the return of a top Junior racer into the SC-Intense team. Joel Andrey from Switzerland, a young talent who has the size and strength to man-handle any mountain set in front of him. Joel will race select World Cup events and all the IXS Euro Cups, picking up speed and experience from the other riders on the team. Welcome!
