We all know that Josh was on a flier yesterday but when the last jump came about it all went a bit wrong for the World Cup champion! We’ve already seen Manon’s winning run and everyone here at Dirt is chuffed with all the Brit medals especially our very own Jacob Dickson taking 3rd at his first Worlds.
It wasn’t clear when he crossed the line what had happened but as soon as he called for help from Peaty and Kathy we all knew something was up. Josh was pinned on this track and he can be heard saying ‘I didn’t want to brake for that jump’ when he is talking to the team after the race.
Josh posted this shot on Instagram and it shows things are pretty mangled but according to team manager Kathy Sessler he had a good operation and is on the mend already. We’re wishing Josh a speedy recovery and we know he will be back even stronger next year. If you want to check out everything else from the World Champs then hit the links below and swim in the glory!
