Bejesus! Organiser Niall Davis just beamed over news of a Gravity Enduro series in Ireland.
Gravity Enduros are fast becoming the new rock and roll. So I suppose in Ireland that makes it…well take your pick from…Undertones/Stiff Little Fingers/Therapy?/Thin Lizzy/Van Morisson…er and U2.
I reckon Glyn O’Brein is going to be the man to beat here with Victor Lucas as an outside chance in the leprechaun category.
Entries open 1st December

Niall tells us:
There are so many different formats for Gravity Enduro racing but the Irish one is the perfect combination of competition and a great day on the bikes with your mates. It’s a two day event with practice on Saturday and the race on Sunday, so make a weekend of it.
What makes this event unique?
There’s a Pot of Gold at the end of each special stage! (Well a cash prize)
Irish pub on Saturday night for the pre race “Energy Guinness”
No transition time limits so you can relax and enjoy the day
Natural trails- No boring trail centre courses
You can start the event in any order; you could ride together with a group of your pals for example.
Each venue will have its own unique terrain and challenges. Routes are about 25km long and have 4 or 5 “special stages” (5-10mins long) running simultaneously, depending on the event. Riders are broken up by age categories and one Pro Category. Entry opens 1st December.
