There are rumours afoot of a showdown on the Fort William World Cup track between two of the biggest names in the bike business, reigning World Cup Champion Gee Atherton and three times World Enduro Champion David Knight. There’s nothing official as yet, we’re merely running on the fumes of a whisper, but it may be going down in the next couple of months…

So who is David Knight? In the words of MOTO editor Ben Johnson, “He’s a three time World Enduro Champion, nine times British Enduro champ, he’s won Erzburg, Last Man Standing, Red Bull Romaniacs, The Tough One, two US GNCCs and pretty much every other enduro event going. In short he’s a bit good and possibly the best all round motorcycle rider on the planet. He’s a f#cking beast”.
