The Gardai have confiscated this modified Carrera hardtail that was being ridden down the M11 motorway just south of Dublin with no license, helmet or insurance.
You can buy these kits online for about £150 (or cheaper if you go through eBay) that include an 80cc, 2.7bhp two-stroke engine and everything you need to fit it. They’re claimed to offer a speed of 30-35mph (48-56kph) and a range of about 60 miles on one tank.
Sounds like a pretty cool job, but we’re not sure we’d recommend doing it on a Carrera! Still, at least it wasn’t this bodge job we saw the other day either:
