2016’s second placed junior, Gaetan Vige, has joined Brendan Fairclough on Scott-Velosolutions DH, formerly Gstaad Scott.
Vige picked up three World Cup wins as he battled Finn Iles throughout the season. He also finished third place in the Junior World Championships.
The team has now been renamed as team manager Claudio Caluori’s pump track building company, Velosolutions, replaces Gstaad as the joint sponsor.
Vige said: “The 2017 season is going to be tough as a first-year elite rider, but this is why I am excited to be joining Scott-Velosolutions. I know the team can give me the best chance possible of succeeding.”
Brendan Fairclough will remain on the team and hoping to improve on his 17th overall finish last year. Claudio Caluori has also confirmed we will get another year of previews and commentary for Red Bull.
Fairclough said: “Pumptracks have always been a part of my riding, it’s the perfect place to learn new skills and have an awesome session with friends – Velosolutions are getting more people on bikes and giving them the opportunities I have had, that is really important to me. I’m stoked for 2017 and can’t wait to kick of the season.“
