There’s always been a few members of the human race determined to push themselves to the absolute limit and beyond, take Evil Knievel, Robbie Madison, Paula Radcliffe and Jimmy Saville for example. Well this week a load of bike nuts will be doing just that at the Enduro Des Nations. With national pride at stake, this year’s entrants aren’t mucking about.

The Eye Merrry Cans have got 4X legend Brian Lopes and downhill enduro specialist Mark Weir (7 time winner of the Downieville Classic) going in for the kill, while the Frenchies have none other than multiple Euro Downhill Marathon Champion Remy Absalom, who seems to win these things for fun. The Swiss are stepping it up this year too, with Rene Wildhaber (who happens to have one of the best websites ever), winner of more XC and Enduro DH titles than you’ve got time to read.
