Matt Mansell dropping in at ‘Escape to Gisburn’ 2013
It seems like every week new events are popping up in 2014, Enduro fever is taking hold! This latest series comes off the back of the ‘Escape to Gisburn’ event that took place in the forest of the same name last year.
Kev at PMBA fired over the details about the series. It’s aimed at a ride with your mates, something the top riders in the EWS cite as one of the best parts of racing Enduro. Based in the North and dipping one round over the border into Scotland the races should cater for all levels of riding with an emphasis on having a good time with relaxed start times so you can all ride together.
The series is split into 5 rounds, 4 of which are single day events with practice in the morning and race lap in the afternoon. The final event will be a two day full on national level race shabang with pie and peas for all, that last bit might not be true…
Either way it sounds like a tidy little series and there are some decent locations too, especially if you fancy giving it a go with a bunch of mates and if you are local to Gisburn then two rounds are on your doorstep.
