Not a bad spot for a race – Photo: Sven Martin
The Andes Pacifico Enduro race kicks off tomorrow and Steve Jones is out there with Hope’s Adam Brayton to follow the race and see how Adam compares Lake District grit to the loose Chilean rock. The 80 riders will set off from high in the Andes and begin four days of racing taking them down to sea level over 14 stages and 12,000ft of descending.
Steve sat down with the race organisers to chat about the event and the riding scene in Chile before getting Jerome Clementz and Adam in front of the camera to see how they feel about the days ahead.
We will be updating you each day from the point of view of our guys and hopefully with an injection of Brayton’s unique take on this event. Steve set off with his camera on the first day and here’s a gallery of what he saw.
