We’ve just had word that the European DH and 4X Champs has been opened up for applications from UK riders to take part and represent their country.

Will Longden from British Cycling got in touch and due to the short notice for the UK’s World Champs riders and other commitments they have it’s been decided to open the chance to race to the huge amount of UK talent. So one of you could be representing the UK at the European Champs in Bulgaria!

Here are the details from the folks over at British Cycling:

Due to a late change of date and venue, it has not been possible to put out a selection criteria for the European Downhill and 4X Championships. Therefore, any rider fulfilling the following criteria are encouraged to apply by the stated deadline.

Elite or Junior riders interested in being considered, should apply by email listing their 2013 results in World Cups, other International events and British Downhill Series rounds.

Elite riders interested in being considered, should apply by email listing their 2013 results in Pro Tour rounds, other International events and British 4X Series rounds.

The deadline for applying is Monday 23rd September.  All successful applicants will be notified on 25th September.
