CrankBrothers visit dirt HQ

We had a vists from crankbrothers today, you know, the 50-50 pedals people.
And the big news was…they’re not actual brothers…but you probably know that already. (The founders were Carl Winefordner and Frank Hermansen, hence Crank)

Christina flew over from Laguna Beach, California, and Mike drove up from Annecy, France with a car load of crankbrothers goodies.

The Iodine All Mountain wheelset got us all quite excited, but as usual Jones got first dibs and two hours after Mike and Christina left they were spinning on his Orange 5.

A full review will appear in the mag once he has done his best to destroy them.

The Iodine wheelset gets a scrutinizing.

Beauty and the beast…Jones and Christina.

They also showed us the new split skewer system which reduces the effort needed to clamp them on and Ed H has been persuaded to swap from his Shimano pedals and try out the Mallets for a while.

Stay tuned for the full info in the magazine.
