Peaty’s Steel City downhill is always such a great event so it’s a shame that it was marred this year for Cotic by one theiving scumbag who couldn’t keep his hands to himself.
The Sheffield brand had two of their demo bikes were nicked from their van outside one of their staff member’s house. In a post on Facebook, they said: “Some bad news unfortunately, our Steel City Downhill hangovers were made worse this morning when Sam discovered our van was broken into last night, and a couple of bikes stolen, from right outside his house. Please keep an eye out for these bikes (full specs below).
“Hopefully we can at least make them too hot to handle. Bike thieves are the scum of the earth, and it seems they’re pretty active in the Sheffield area after the big race, keep your pride and joy safe folks.”
Thankfully the police are on the case but for now it’s just a case of making them too hot to handle. If you have any info then give 101 a bell and report it.
We like Cotic’s Instagram post better though: “stay safe, stay rad, stay classy.”
