5 working days of the week, 5 digits on your hand, 5 members of 5-Star and 5 photos from Friday at Bromont courtesy of Mr Lucas.
Victor has been very busy today, I watched him walk up and down that hill all day long ( I was in the press room with my binoculars keeping a beady eye on things). What he was actually doing was looking for some missing/broken parts to his infamous umbrella.
Steve Peat was fastest today in timed practice. And he has
been looking comfortable on this rough and muddy track. Perhaps it’s the kind of weather and grip conditions he is used to. It all comes down tomorrow though.
Recently, Greg Minnaar has been putting in some serious time
on the go-kart track, and it certainly paid off as he comes into this race fresh from his win in MSA last week. Confidence must be high, but this is a very different course to MSA.
This is the last steep technical section before the course
heads into a flowing lower half. The ruts and slippery slabs had many people taking a trip over the bars on this corner to drop combo. Baltic Ben Reid lines it up.
The 4X course is a good one, with plenty of technical stuff
to challenge riders. The rain has left things a bit soft, so plenty were struggling with the big jump on the main line. Kamil Tatarkovic doesn’t get phased by that sort of thing.
Johannes Fischbach weaves his way throught the 4X rock
garden.
