The first BDS of the year is done and dusted and yesterday’s rain gave way to some late afternoon sunshine and a drier track.
Fastest down the hill were Rachel Atherton and Danny Hart, clearly they’ve managed to avoid the rainbow curse so far! Charging hard in the men’s field were Gee Atherton and Matt Simmonds who finished second and third respectively. In the women, Manon finished second in her first race for Radon and Wideopen’s Veronique Sandler was third. Tahnee Seagrave seeded second (just 0.2 behind Rachel) but crashed and had to be taken to hospital for stitches in her race run
