An absolutely bonkers ghetto North Shore set up from Down Under!
First up in our series on Backyard Rampage is Matt Wise from somewhere in Australia. These pics are from 2006 and has probably been knocked down since. But, blimey, what a super ghetto set up!
Matt says:
“Basically it started with a couple of ideas and the man of the house Timbot is a builder who had access to wood that was being discarded so he started to bring it home from demos he was doing. One thing led to another and before we knew it we had built the berm at the back which led up to the top of the shed and we were hucking off the roof onto that big ramp. Next thing we decide to add more so we can keep riding round and round and in the end we went a bit silly and more or less covered that back yard. We had the berm, two drops, see-saw, skinnies both high and low plus the roll in to step up running down the fence line and some other bits and pieces. Some of the lines were pretty hard to clean, especially the full skinny after the teeter. The whole thing claimed a few victims, full dislocated shoulder, someone fell and landed on their head and nearly broke their back plus a heap of grazes.
We had a couple of big ride parties, put on some “demos” and lots of friends there who really didnt ride were all blown away with what we were doing in this backyard, people just couldnt believe it. It really was priceless.”
