Andrea Bianciotto has gone fastest in junior men’s seeding for the 2016 World Championships in Val di Sole.
The Italian has only raced four World Cups (with his best result being a seventh in Vallnord) so we suspect an element of home advantage came into play. It was a great run for the Italian, who looked visibly fresher than the rest of the field in the final sector, and he sets himself out as one to watch tomorrow. It’s also worth saying that this seeding doesn’t really count for anything as riders still start in order of their UCI ranking – in reality it’s a glorified timed training where riders may not always push 100 per cent.
Second behind Bianaciotto was Nikolas Nesteroff with an injured Finn Iles in third. Highest ranked Brit was Matt Walker in fifth.
