It’s been a tough race in Valloire at round three of the Enduro World Series and with riders suffering mechanicals, punctures and a real battering from the rocky fast stages in France. After a nightmare of a day yesterday Jared Graves came through today to take the win. Graves has been so close to winning one of these since the start of last year when he battled with Jerome Clementz for the overall.
Justin Leov was the man on a charge all weekend though but a cruel puncture on Stage 5 today pushed him out of the running. Leov won three stages over the weekend and his 7th and 3rd would have been good enough for a top podium spot but 149th on Stage 5 post puncture buggered it all up!
He tweeted after the race:
What could of been!!! 38 second lead to puncture and lose it all. Pretty gutted. Winning the last stage was at least something for the day

Jared took the win just 3.532s ahead of Damien Oton of the Devinci team and only 4.054s in front of Rene Wildhaber in 3rd. After the top three times were so tight there was a bigger gap back to Cedric Gracia in 4th who was 28.263s back. Yoann Barelli rounded out the top 5 53.629s down on Graves.

Tracy Moseley continued her form taking the win in the Women’s race ahead of Anne-Caroline Chausson who couldn’t match Moseley’s pace. Anneke Beerten was quietly consistent at round two and she turned the dial in Valloire to take 3rd place behind Chausson and Moseley. Isabeau Courdurier powered to 4th place ahead of Cecile Ravanel who took 5th.
