This came in yesterday but I got so transfixed by the nice pictures I forgot to post it. Anyway, the Transition Double’s been making a bit of a nieche for itself since it was launched and it looks like the latest version’s keeping up the progression. Here’s what they say…
It is no surprise why short travel suspension bikes are so popular since they are probably the most fun bikes to ride. They give you that feeling of being on a hardtail but with enough suspension to smooth things out and let you preload jumps like on your big bike. For the new Double we added some features in our quest to create the cleanest most solid short travel full suspension bike on the market.
Our custom formed tubset designed specifically for our tapered headtube creates an extremely strong and beautiful junction. Combined with internal tube gusseting, the profile of the Double is about flowing clean lines. The design goal was all about smooth edges. There is no pocketing of CNC bits so no where for dirt to hide and it is super easy to clean.
The new rocker has gorgeous chamfered edges as well as our new travel adjustment chip for switching between 80mm and 100mm of travel. We finish it off with internal cable routing for the rear derailleur for some of the best cable routing for all you mechanics out there.
So far the Double has taken Jill Kintner to a first place win at Sea Otter and Casey Groves a win at the Ranch Style Slopestyle Jam. A versatile bike at home on a race course, dirt jumps or your local slopestyle course.
