I haven’t been on here for a while so have loads to fill you in on, there wasnt any races in Portugal over easter so I headed over to south Spain for a week to eat kebabs, chill on beaches and of course a little riding! I hooked up with Fester (Jason Davies) down in Malaga and we got riding a track up at Mijas, its a cool little spot in the woods but really sandy and cool jumps, the timing polls came out and we did some world superbike style qualifying with cut off times every run. It made it really competitive and we were upping the pace every run, are final times came as close as 0.07 so that was cool. In Benalmadena there are some awesome trails which are floodlit all night long! I was lucky enough to ride these heaps when I was working for switch-backsDH and they are amazing, really steep and flowy.
We also headed upto the Sierra Nevada mountains in Granada where the switch-backs all mountain set up is. Its only an hour from the coast but a whole different world, the city of Granada is crazy with 80,000 students so parties are amazing. The tracks are really good there to with winding flowing singletrack and various dh tracks.
