The other day, whilst wading through knee deep Irish peat bog thinking “How the hell am I going to build a DH track through this”, I had a call from Mike at Dirt mag. He asked me what I was up to. I told him I’d been busy travelling around building tracks as usual. Now that the new seasons nearly here, I’m going to be flat out for the next 7 months. I’ve got a load of World Cup and World Champs tracks to build in various countries, so he asked if I’d write a blog to keep you up to date with the new tracks, and give you a different take on the World Cup circuit. So here it is. To introduce myself, I’d say I’m lucky enough to have the job of my dreams; flying around building race tracks for the fastest riders on the planet. I like bikes, food, beer, snowboarding and my girlfriend (in no particular order of course). – Phil Saxenna
