No job, I’m a student.
What do you do?
Ride bikes and have fun!
Which World Cups we will see you at?
All of the European rounds and as many others as school allows (I am in my first year of Bakaloria exams).
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Mum owned the chalet and I used to have to do the bathrooms – cleaning toilets is probably the worst (although ask dad about DirtMasters…haha).
Where’s your favourite place?
Last year we went to Bordeaux the city was stunning.
Where’s your favourite place to ride?
Champery.
When are you happiest?
When I achieve something – like jumps or results on my bike.
What makes you angry?
Haha – licking the lids of yogurts… the noise drives me mad.
What makes you happy?
Others happiness – seeing and hearing laughter… and winning 😉
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
I have been given so much advice – especially riding and it’s all helped, I could not pick out one piece as I am still learning.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given?
Never given any – still too young!
What are your extravagances?
Shoes.

Vanessa Quin.
What’s the most important thing in your life?
Family.
What would you never throw away?
A t-shirt I have…maybe you will see it one day.
What’s your greatest fear?
Spiders.
What was your luckiest escape?
Breaking my ‘neck of femur’. Surgery went well, but I am allergic to the dressings they put on so I needed another two operations just to stop the infections.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
Turn off my alarm for school at 6am.
What’s the last thing you do at night?
Close my eyes.
What would be your dream meal?
Lasagne, oh hold on, chicken and barley.
What things do you always carry with you?
My phone!
Do you have any regrets?
No.
What’s the most important lesson that you’ve learnt?
If you want to achieve, you must put in the effort.
If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive) who would they be?
1) Travis Pastrana 2) Andy Warhol 3) Florence (and the machine).

Blinky.

Other people being injured or hurt… I am fine if it’s me. But if it’s others and I can’t even help them.

I know what I want – lets just see!
What does the future hold for mountain biking?
Hopefully DH gets bigger and more girls riding with the industry understanding that girls ride too!
