Red Bull Rampage is back for another with a heap of changes this year. Most importantly there are fewer riders on the hill so riders can have far more individuality with line choice and building.
With just ten days to scrape out a masterpiece, boots were on the ground early to scope out the best spots at the new site. Here’s the very best action from day one of the competition:
Tyler McCaul
Oh yes, this new site is burly. Tyler McCaul reckons there’s a line down this ridgline. Really?!
Andreu Lacondeguy
With a year of FEST events behind him and claiming the ‘sickest line’ early, we can’t wait to see what Andreu is cooking up for next Sunday.
Number 21 seems a bit high for the 2014 winner surely…
Brett Rheeder
It’s all natural this year. Brett Rheeder sketches out a route down a canyon.
Cam Zink
Zink has already christened his line the Canimal. How big can he go this year?
Kyle Strait
Kyle Strait has been at every Rampage since 2001 and has won it twice. Legendary Lyle is on site again this year and won’t be fazed by another new venue.
Darren Berrecloth
He can’t be riding down that can he?? Bearclaw seeing lines that are invisible to everyone else as usual.
Graham Agassiz
The last site was plagued with bad luck for Aggy, let’s hope he turns it around here.
