With the sound of chainsaws, shovels and packing dirt, a trail builder will often not be able to hear an approaching rider, especially if they’re coming in hot. It’s common courtesy to slow down a fraction and give a friendly wave as you pass – after all they’re the reason you’re having fun in the first place.
