Rolling Stock: SPECIALIZED ROVAL TRAVERSE

It seems a bit crazy to us that for years now you’ve been able to buy any type of bike that your heart desires, but up until Specialized came out with these excellent Roval Traverse wheels last year it was impossible to buy a decent light but wide rim. Strictly speaking this isn’t a rim, it’s a wheelset, but it is the rim that really makes these wheels what they are. It just allows you to run a decent sized pair of tyres on a pair of XC weight wheels. Luckily the rest of the wheels are more than up to scratch with DT spokes and hub internals, along with a front hub that comes supplied with adaptors for pretty much every axle size in existence, and a rear that can be run either QR or 12mm bolt–thru. -They’re nothing less than a superb pair of lightweight trail wheels.
