‘Quick’ is always the word in our head after riding a 224, and there’s little more you can ask for from a DH race bike. The thing is though that the 224 does give more.
With its simple design and lack of quirky traits it just lets you concentrate on riding, and we’ve found that simple design also turns out to be one of the best for taking advantage of what a Cane Creek Double Barrel has to offer. With the adjustments on that shock and the ones on the frame itself, we can’t imagine how any rider could fail to get this set up just the way they like, and that quality on its own is one that should never be underestimated. It’s no surprise then that this bike is really our benchmark when it comes to DH, both in terms of suspension and value.
