These might have suffered from a slight price rise, but it’s not enough to stop them from still being our first choice when it comes to DH cranks. Yes there’s some great competition from Race Face and Shimano in particular, but when it comes to a race bike every gram counts and these are the lightest we’ve found that still offer the strength that we’re looking for. We also like the way the hollow forged arms have a kind of understated and sleek beauty that hides the fact that the technology inside is actually pretty special and produces such an impressive strength to weight ratio. The only thing we wish they’d change is that it’d be great if they sold them with just a single ring, or even none at all, but I suppose you can always flog the bits you don’t want on eBay.
