You could easily run Formula’s The One brakes on a trail bike because they’re still lighter than most brakes, but for more sensible levels of power and even greater weight saving we would recommend getting a set of these instead. All the superb engineering and performance that we love from The One is present, it’s just in an even lighter and slightly less powerful package.
If that makes you worry that there’s not enough power on offer though, then don’t cos if we were looking to build an ultra light DH race bike we’d still be happy to put these on it. We doubt you’ll find a lighter set of brakes than these, and even if you do we can’t imagine they’d even get close when it comes to performance.
