There has been quite a buzz around the new D3, mainly because Troy Lee’s D2 is so iconic and everyone’s favourite full face lid. The D3 has significantly more protection, sitting somewhere in the middle between the D2 and the Moto (TLD’s full face MX lid). With a little extra weight and protection Troy Lee have worked extra hard to improve the venting on the D3 to keep riders cool. While the D3 doesn’t jump out at you instantly in the same way that the D2 did, we think it is a grower and still features much of Troy Lee’s instantly recognisable style, but most importantly this lid will offer you more protection that previous incarnations.
